Jason Moran

Director

Jason trained at The Gaiety School of Acting and The Dublin School of Acting. He has since worked with Dublin based theatre companies including The Troubadour Players, Arclite Productions and Fiasco Productions. He has also had extensive training in improvisation and is currently the Creative Director of the LiveWired Comedy Improvisation Group of which he is a founding member.

Favourite improv game:
I am not sure I have one in particular, I like playing straight scenes, with a twist. Fish Bowl can be fun getting out of trouble. Or a scene with a soundtrack or sound effects that the actors can react to and justify. Having said that, I always get a great kick out of Three Excuses.

Most memorable moment on stage:
Hah! Well, that would have to be getting killed off in a Story Die when we were asked for an Irish accent, such an identity dig. I'm not sure I'll ever get over it.

One more thing:
Tony Slattery, an improv hero to many of us, came to see a LiveWired show one night. He congratulated me afterwards and bought me a beer. Probably one of my best moments ever. I told everyone!!!
